Personal data processing notice

Dear Candidate,

Equals values your privacy and is committed to transparency and protection of the personal data of all candidates.

During this selection process, we will collect some of your personal data in order to complete your application and analyze your professional profile.

Terms and definitions

For a better understanding of this Privacy Notice, the Defined Terms and Interpretation section defines capitalized terms, as well as rules of interpretation applicable to this Privacy Notice.

Personal Data

  • Any information that can lead to the direct or indirect identification of a natural person. The concept includes name, email, ID, CPF, any type of identification document with photo, telephone number, address, images of people captured by cameras, data on candidates for vacancies in the company (including information on resumes).

Sensitive Personal Data

  • Personal data relating a person to race or ethnicity; religious belief; political opinion; membership of trade unions or organizations of a religious, philosophical or political nature; data relating to health, sexual life or biometrics; when linked to a natural person.

How we collect personal data

Data sent by the Candidate

  • During the selection process, candidates must fill out forms with personal information and educational and professional history. They also send their resumes via email or through forms on our website and/or LinkedIn, as a way to apply for one of the vacancies available at Equals.

Data we store in our routines and devices

  • Personal data may be collected in our selection routines and through some of our devices, such as when identifying candidates when they enter our facilities.

Partner Sites and Platforms

  • Candidates may submit or have their personal data collected through applications on partner websites and platforms (Catho, Indeed, LinkedIn, GreenHouse, Glassdoor and Vagas).

Personal data we collect

  • Registration Data: full name, social media profiles and contact information such as telephone number, email and full residential address.
  • Professional Data: during the selection process, we collect data on previous professional experiences, academic credentials; information on extracurricular activities carried out, proficiency in foreign languages and technical and practical mastery of the functions required for the vacancies.
  • Behavioral Data: we can collect and analyze behavioral information from the candidate during the selection process and carry out Reasoning, Social, Motivational and Cultural Fit tests, through the Mindsight platform.
  • Health Data: rehabilitated beneficiary, person with disabilities and dietary restrictions.

How we use personal data

We use the collected personal data for the following purposes:

  • Identify candidates during the selection process;
  • Send notifications about applications and the progress of selection processes via emails, WhatsApp messages, SMS and phone calls;
  • Offer other vacancies compatible with the professional's profile;
  • Enable the candidate's access to our facilities;
  • Analyze the candidate's professional profile and their possible suitability for the vacancies available in our selection processes;
  • Carry out a statistical survey to assess diversity in the selection process.

Who has access to your personal data

The personal data collected is analyzed by professionals responsible for conducting the selection process, that is, members of the Human Resources Department and managers responsible for the area of the position relating to such data.

Furthermore, the personal data collected is stored in the Greenhouse and Mindsight tools, in order to enable the analysis of the professional and behavioral profile of candidates.

How we protect your personal data

We implement security measures in accordance with current regulations to protect personal data against: loss, interference, improper use, unauthorized access, inappropriate disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Equals also maintains internal procedures to ensure that the personal data collected is reliable for its purpose, ensuring that it is correct, complete and up to date.

Retention and rights

Candidates' personal data are processed for the time necessary to fulfill their purpose, observing, whenever applicable, the legal provisions.

Therefore, even when deletion is requested by the candidate, Equals may keep certain data if there is still a legal or regulatory basis for doing so, in accordance with the following guidelines:

  • Only data strictly necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes of the processing may be retained. The user may request the deletion of unnecessary, excessive or non-compliant personal data;
  • Retention periods must be complied with according to the nature of the personal data and the purpose of the processing, observing, whenever applicable, the legal and regulatory provisions that indicate a specific period for keeping documents;
  • The retention of personal data must be justified and justifiable, depending on the purpose of the Processing.

The holder of personal data will have the following rights, in accordance with article 18 of Law No. 13,709/18 (LGPD):

  • Confirmation of the existence of treatment;
  • Access to data;
  • Correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
  • Anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary, excessive or non-compliant data;
  • Portability of data to another service or product provider, upon express request, in accordance with the regulations of the national authority, observing commercial and industrial secrets;
  • Deletion of personal data processed with the consent of the holder, except in the following cases: compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation by the controller; study by a research body, ensuring, whenever possible, the anonymization of personal data; transfer to a third party, provided that the data processing requirements set out in the Law are respected; or exclusive use by the controller, with access by third parties prohibited, and provided that the data is anonymized;
  • Information on public and private entities with which the controller shared data;
  • Information about the possibility of not providing consent and about the consequences of the absence of consent;
  • Consent may be revoked at any time by express consent of the holder, through a free and facilitated procedure, ratifying the treatments carried out under the protection of previously expressed consent as long as there is no request for deletion.
